Exciting new video project filmed in Sydney for Data Republic

Excited and thankful to present the latest project that Teresa Lim Studios has been working on.

This video was directed by the talented Sean Rodrigo and filmed in Waterloo, Sydney, with his amazing crew.

When I was first approached by Sean to audition for this piece a couple of month’s ago, I nearly fell off my chair when I saw who the client was! I had voiced the animated web video for Data Republic with fabulous Visionary Digital Studios, almost a year ago.

Déjà vu.

This time though, it would be different.

Instead of voicing from my regular studio with the script in front of me, headphones firmly in place and trademark crazy-voiceover-hands-waving, I would be walking, talking straight to a camera while imagining animated pop-ups happening all around.

With the help of repeated hand gestures and voice intonation, I managed to memorise the 3 min script from start to finish in the days leading up to the shoot. (Made me appreciate my usual scripted VO's so much more!!)

In Sydney, I had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful Sean Rodrigo, creator, writer and director. Friendly, confident and clearly gifted, he made the day a joy to experience.

Along with DoP Bryan Coelho, Camera Assist Bastien Chapignac, Art Director Valentina Lastrebova, HMUA Samantha Lee and the rest of the brilliant crew, the scenes were set up, shot, and packed up in the blink of an eye.

Thankful to God for this opportunity to lend a voice- and a face- for Data Republic.
